01

Assumption of Risk, Inherent Hazards & Total Liability Waiver

Cricket is an active, competitive, and physical sport. KAvach Cricket Club operates exclusively with 100% seasoned hard leather cricket balls. Hard leather cricket balls travel at speeds often exceeding 100 to 130 km/h, are struck with heavy English and Kashmir willow bats, and bounce dynamically on natural soil and curated pitches.

By enrolling as a member, booking a trial session, or stepping onto any practice net, conditioning area, or match ground:

  • Acknowledgment of Inherent Risks: You expressly acknowledge and understand that seasoned leather-ball cricket entails inherent, unavoidable risks of serious physical injury. These include, without limitation: impact injuries from high-velocity balls, fractures, contusions, dental damage, concussions, facial and eye trauma, soft-tissue tears, ligament ruptures, heat exhaustion, dehydration, cardiac arrest, or accidental collision with other players, wickets, boundaries, or equipment.
  • Total Release of Liability: You freely, voluntarily, and knowingly assume all such risks, both known and unknown. You hereby unconditionally release, waive, discharge, and hold completely harmless KAvach Cricket Club, its founders, Think Tank committee, team captains, coordinators, coaches, match managers, volunteers, and ground/venue partners (including but not limited to Play Arena and third-party tournament ground operators) from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, lawsuits, arbitrations, or damages arising out of any bodily injury, sickness, disability, medical emergency, death, or property loss sustained during or in connection with any club session or match.
  • Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KAvach Cricket Club and its representatives from any claims, medical costs, legal fees, or third-party liabilities incurred as a consequence of your actions, omissions, or participation on the field.
02

Health, Medical Fitness & Player Responsibility

Competitive amateur cricket demands cardiovascular stamina, agility, and physical resilience under morning sun and warm weather conditions.

  • Recommended Medical Checkups: KAvach Cricket Club strongly recommends that every player undergo comprehensive periodic medical checkups (including cardiovascular screening, ECG/TMT evaluations, and musculoskeletal assessments) prior to undertaking competitive cricket.
  • Warranty of Physical Readiness: Each participant certifies that they are in good health, possess adequate physical conditioning for seasoned ball cricket, and have no undisclosed medical conditions, heart conditions, or physical impairments that could jeopardize their safety or the safety of others.
  • Self-Regulation & Hydration: Players are solely responsible for monitoring their personal physical limits, pacing their exertion, maintaining adequate hydration, and resting immediately if feeling dizzy, fatigued, or unwell.
  • First-Aid Disclaimer: Basic first-aid kits and emergency assistance available on ground are provided solely as an act of good faith. The club does not operate as a licensed medical facility. Any hospital transport or external medical treatment required shall be at the sole financial responsibility of the injured player.
03

Mandatory Protective Safety Equipment Protocol

Due to the high-impact nature of seasoned leather-ball cricket, player safety is non-negotiable. The following equipment standards are strictly enforced at all net sessions, practice matches, and tournament games:

  • Hard-Shell Helmet with Grille: Mandatory for all batsmen facing pace or spin bowling, and for wicketkeepers standing up to the stumps. Helmets must conform to recognized safety standards.
  • Abdominal Guard (L-Guard): Mandatory personal equipment for every player batting or keeping wickets. Sharing abdominal guards is prohibited on hygiene and safety grounds.
  • Batting Pads & Gloves: High-density foam or cane leather-ball batting pads and reinforced batting gloves are mandatory while facing seasoned leather balls.
  • Authority to Refuse Play: Session coordinators, match captains, and umpires possess absolute authority to bar any player from entering the nets or taking the field if they lack mandatory protective gear.
04

Financial Terms, Subscriptions & Strict No-Refund Policy

To maintain cricket pitches, secure certified umpires, purchase match-grade leather balls, and reserve high-demand facilities at Play Arena, KAvach operates on advance financial commitments.

  • Advance Payment: All Studio memberships (1M, 3M, 6M), tournament entries (including KPL franchise draft fees), and weekend match fees must be remitted in full prior to slot confirmation.
  • Strictly Non-Refundable: All fees, subscriptions, dues, and deposits paid to KAvach Cricket Club are strictly non-refundable under any and all circumstances. This includes, without limitation:
    • Personal schedule conflicts, corporate commitments, or relocation.
    • Voluntary withdrawal or disinterest.
    • Sustained physical injury or medical emergencies.
    • Adverse weather conditions, rain washouts, poor light, or ground wetness beyond club control.
    • Suspension or permanent eviction resulting from disciplinary misconduct.
  • Non-Transferable: Memberships and match slots are personal to the enrolled player and cannot be transferred, sold, or gifted to another individual.
05

Disciplinary Code of Conduct & Zero-Tolerance Eviction

KAvach is built on camaraderie, mutual respect, and the gentlemanly spirit of cricket. Our members are corporate leaders, tech professionals, doctors, and disciplined athletes. Unsportsmanlike conduct has zero place in our community.

  • Zero Tolerance for Indiscipline: The following infractions will trigger immediate disciplinary review:
    • Abusive language, sledging, or aggressive physical gestures directed at teammates, opponents, or umpires.
    • Dissent against umpire decisions or disrespect toward match coordinators.
    • Physical altercation or threats of violence on or off the pitch.
    • Intoxication, alcohol consumption, smoking, or substance abuse within sports premises.
    • Discrimination or harassment of any form based on gender, race, language, or background.
    • Defamation of KAvach Cricket Club, its players, or its leadership on public or social media channels.
  • Immediate Eviction & Termination: Club management and the Think Tank reserve the absolute and unfettered right to suspend or permanently evict any player from the club immediately upon finding a violation of this code.
  • Forfeiture of Fees: In any event of suspension or eviction for disciplinary reasons, all remaining membership duration, tournament participation, and paid fees are immediately forfeited with zero refund.
06

Commitment & No-Show Policy (In Principle)

Cricket is a game of 22 committed individuals. When an enrolled player fails to turn up without adequate advance notice, 21 other working professionals and the match schedule are severely disrupted.

  • Obligation of Commitment: When you RSVP or confirm availability for a practice net slot or a weekend match, you are making a binding commitment to your teammates.
  • No-Show Consequences: Any player who fails to attend a confirmed session or match without giving valid notice at least 24 hours in advance disrupts team balance and ground logistics.
  • Enforcement Measures: Unexcused no-shows or chronic late dropouts will result in formal disciplinary strikes, temporary suspension from upcoming weekend match rosters, loss of priority for KPL draft selection, or administrative reinstatement conditions.
07

Right of Admission & Selective Membership Discretion

KAvach is a private, selective amateur sports community. We deliberately maintain high standards of ground discipline, safety, and mutual compatibility.

  • Selective Onboarding: All prospective members undergo a mandatory trial net session to assess basic skill, coachability, and cultural fit.
  • All Rights Reserved: Club management reserves all rights of admission, membership approval, and annual renewal. Management is not obligated to provide detailed justifications for non-admission or squad assignment decisions.
09

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms, policies, and participation agreements shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the substantive laws of the Republic of India.

Any legal dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to membership, participation, or operations of KAvach Cricket Club shall be subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
